A single-varietal red wine made from Tintilla de Rota by Bodegas Luis Pérez. The grapes come from Pago Balbaína, a young vineyard near the sea, characterized by albariza soils.
This winery is a family project founded in 2002, located in the heart of the Jerez vineyards. It was born from the belief that high-quality red wines could be made in Cádiz. Initially, they focused on international grape varieties such as Petit Verdot, Syrah, and Merlot. As the project evolved, they embraced new challenges, turning their attention to native varieties like Tintilla de Rota, which they began producing in 2011.
The wine is aged for about 5 months in five-year-old oak barrels, followed by an additional 15 months in stainless steel tanks before bottling.
