This gin is produced by Angeac Distillery in France, and its name is a tribute to Ferdinand Magellan, who circumnavigated the globe in search of the Spice Islands.
It uses 11 botanicals: juniper, orange peel, coriander, licorice, cinnamon, cassia, nutmeg, cardamom, grains of paradise, clove, and iris flower and root.
The gin has a bluish color due to the iris flower, is very well-balanced, and has a light body. It presents floral aromas, with hints of spices and a touch of citrus, while its taste is light, slightly spicy, and leaves a slightly bitter aftertaste.
