In certain areas of Spain, the word jarana is used as a synonym for party or festival. Lustau wanted to appeal to the festive character conveyed by this fino, made in Jerez using the traditional criaderas and soleras method. It has a sharp, almond-like and delicate aroma. On the palate it is light, dry and slightly acidic. The special characteristics of this wine are the result of a biological ageing process under a veil of flor.
