Fino Coquinero is an emblematic brand of the historic Bodegas Osborne, founded in the 18th century in El Puerto de Santa María. This wine, a slightly amontillado fino, has an alcohol content of 17% and stands out for its notes of biological aging, which give it the characteristic sharp touch of fino wine, combined with oxidative nuances typical of its aging. With hints of fine wood and vanilla, it is a tasty wine rich in nuances.
Made with Palomino fino grapes from the best albariza vines in Pago de Balbaina, the must ferments in stainless steel tanks before being fortified to 15% vol. with alcohol. The wine begins a biological aging process for 4-5 years, gradually losing the veil of flor. Afterwards, it is left to age for an additional 3-4 years, increasing its alcohol content and transforming into a slightly amontillado fino. The aging process takes place in soleras and 5 criaderas.
Light golden in colour, clean and bright, its nose is intense and fresh, with aromas of green apple and dried fruit such as hazelnut. On the palate, it is very dry, powerful, with a good amontillado structure and a long, slightly bitter finish.
