Grapes are grown in Teba, a mountainous area to the north of Málaga, at an altitude of 510 meters. Despite being only 90 km from the Costa del Sol, the climate is typically continental, with cold winters that help the vines rest and hot summers with extended hours of sunshine, followed by cool nights that aid in the good ripening of the grapes, in excellent health conditions. The soil is loamy sandy with a coarse texture.
