With a century of experience, Imperial Reserva 2019 is one of the great assets of Spanish wine, a wine whose vinification guidelines demonstrate that many things are changing in the world of national long-aged wines and that CUNE is no stranger to these changes. A surprising example of how this century-old winery vindicates the tendency to make extremely subtle wines, responding to modern production parameters and philosophy and approaching current market tastes, but without losing one bit of the essence that has made it legendary.

Description

After a double selection process, in the field and in the winery, and its cold preservation for 24 hours, the grapes that give rise to Imperial Reserva (D.O.Ca. Rioja), from vineyards over 40 years old, are transferred by gravity to French oak vats, where they undergo alcoholic fermentation. A long aging of two years in French and American oak barrels, and a final rounding of the wine in the bottle for three more years, outlines an excellent red wine that is only made in exceptional harvests.

Description
