Bestizo is the new red wine from Bodegas Emilio Moro launched in 2024, marking the winery's debut in the El Bierzo DO. It is presented as a symbol of connection and reunion, highlighting the Mencía variety as a reflection of the evolution of the winery. The 2023 harvest was characterized by a varied climate, with rain in spring and a dry summer, which allowed for balanced ripening of the grapes.
The production process includes 7 days of fermentation and 12 days of maceration in 25,000-liter tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation in stainless steel and aging for 8 months in 2,500-liter foudres.
In the tasting, Bestizo stands out for its cherry red color and fresh aromas of red fruit, peach and cherry, with spicy and floral notes. In the mouth, it is light, balanced and with a pleasant and persistent finish.
