The origin of “Orange wine” dates back more than 6,000 years, in the Caucasus region, where Vitis vinifera was born and where the first winemaking took place, in which whole grape clusters were fermented in amphoras, where they would remain macerating.
Remaining true to that origin, Bodegas Martín Códax releases this limited edition of 924 bottles.
Unlike conventional Albariños, which aim for the freshest taste, in this case, the winemaking process in contact with the skins results in a drier, more structured and tannic wine.
Amber in color with iodine-colored reflections.
