The flagship of Bodegas Emilio Moro, is named after its creator and alma mater of the winery. It is a reflection of the essence of the Terroir of the area and the passion of three generations dedicated to cultivating the vineyard and making Ribera del Duero wines with soul.
Emilio Moro labels stand out for their image of a medallion that tells the story of the family from its beginnings. In Emilio Moro we see a photo of Emilio Moro harvesting with his father in the La Rendeja vineyard (1938).
The weather of the 2021 vintage has been marked by light temperatures during the spring, accumulated rainfall during the month of April and a summer with slightly lower temperatures than usual, which slowed down the vegetative cycle of the plant. At the beginning of autumn the rains were scarce, thus favoring the ripening of the grapes.
Made from Tempranillo grapes from middle-aged vines. Its fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, with subsequent aging in French and American oak barrels.
Garnet red color of good intensity. The nose is complex and expressive where the character of the 2021 vintage translates into an interesting balance between the fresh notes of the red fruit typical of the variety with more ripe nuances of black fruit, coffee and spices, such as vanilla or clove. In the mouth it is balanced, with a medium structure and very sweet tannin. Easy to drink, but retaining personality and a persistent and very pleasant aftertaste.
