Description

Very cold winter, with two days dropping below -9ºC. The summer was very warm, especially in June and July, with three heatwaves that marked the vintage with record high temperatures. The spring was mild and frost-free. Dry winter, spring with sufficient rainfall for the vine, and very dry summer. It was a climatically perfect year for the vine in the Ribera del Duero. The early harvest began on September 28th with Malbec and ended on October 23rd with Cabernet Sauvignon.

12 months in 225L French oak barrels from different forests.

In the winery, the movement of grapes is done by gravity, without the use of pumps, gently. The grapes arrive destemmed and whole to the vat.

It presents a cherry-red color with intense garnet edges.

On the nose, it is complex, highlighting great ripeness of red berries accompanied by many balsamic and red licorice notes. A more Atlantic profile of earthy and mineral notes.

On the palate, it presents juicy acidity, well-structured, excellent smooth and mature tannins, aromatic cedar woods, and a slight final bitterness that makes it long and complex, a wine with life ahead.
