It is a clear reflection of the elegance, solidity, and consistency that define Bodega Marqués de Murrieta. The wine showcases the incredible character of Finca Ygay, encapsulating everything that happens there throughout a growing cycle.
Made from Tempranillo, Mazuelo, Graciano, and Garnacha, each variety contributes its own personality, coming together into a well-balanced wine after barrel aging.
Upon arrival at the winery, the grape bunches are destemmed, and the varieties ferment separately in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Maceration lasts 8–10 days, during which pump-overs and punch-downs are carried out to enhance contact between the must and skins, ensuring a slow and natural extraction of aromas and polyphenols. After fermentation, the solid parts of the grapes are pressed in vertical presses using a gentle and slow process that helps extract color and mature tannins from the skins.
Aged for 24 months in 225-liter American oak barrels.
